Whether or not you believe it to be the best game in the series, the fact that Final Fantasy 12 is now portable is hugely exciting and had many eagerly awaiting the Switch release. That enthusiasm was numbed a little when it was discovered that you'd have to set aside forty-five of your finest Great British Pounds for a port of a 13-year old game.
Even if a markup was to be expected with the Switch's notoriously high prices for digital releases, this one seemed somewhat excessive. Ever since, we've been on the lookout for a decent deal.
And that brings us to The Game Collection, where you can get Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age for £32.95 on Switch. Granted, that's still far north of the number of pennies you might be comfortable dropping on the revered RPG - but it certainly takes the edge off somewhat!
To give you some perspective, you can currently get Final Fantasy 12 for £10.85 on PS4 at Base. There are a good few years between release but it's clear that Switch tax is really coming into play!
As for what's included in The Zodiac Age version of Final Fantasy 12, you'll get an enhanced and updated version of the game. It includes the Zodiac Job System, which improves character levelling and gives you much more freedom when specialising your party members. Other smaller improvements include a Trial Mode and an option to speed up battles and exploration to get through grinding with ease.
If you're not ready to take the plunge on that price just yet, do follow us over a Jelly Deals where you can find all the best gaming deals.
